Greetings friends,
For the past couple of months, I’ve been living on some land that belongs to an old friend. I’m alone here, on a small island with the resident wildlife. Lots of deer and hawks, and a skunk below the back porch.
This is the view from my window in a break between blizzards. There was heavy snowfall here a week ago, and now — just as the last of it has melted — the forecast is calling for more.
That spit of land across the water is the western edge of the town where I was born and grew up on and off. I left it for good a few lifetimes ago and vowed I’d never return, so it’s weird to be back and looking at it now. I had to pass through on my way here, and I’ll pass through to bid it farewell again when I leave sometime around Christmas…unless I get snowed in.
I’m just passing through with this this post too. So long until we meet again.

Subscribers who sign up as Founding Members with a minimum contribution of $150 USD (or international equivalent) receive an additional welcome gift right from the get-go. A full range of gift choices will be emailed to new paid subscribers.
For the moment, the content here is more or less the same as it is on the Irreverent Ink Instagram page (albeit in a more reader-friendly format and with external links), but look for exclusive posts from time to time in the future.
Whether you’re here as a one-time visitor or a subscriber, thanks again and very best wishes!
Yours truly,
