“Bury Me Under the Weeping Willow”

This poem popped into my head while I was walking through a cemetery by the sea. It was illustrated by the great Irish collagist fearofrevolt, whose work can be found here and here.
Epitaph
Bury me beneath the loam,
Beside the weeping willow tree;
Then let my boneless spirit roam,
When what I am has ceased to be.
White horses made of froth and foam,
Will gallop on the endless sea;
And wind that blows across the brome,
Will whisper my eternity.
I made an illustration too…
Thanks for the collaboration fearofrevolt!
